Window and Door Sensors

Window and Door sensors can be placed on doors and windows and will activate the alarm as soon as a window or door is opened when the burglar alarm is armed. Window and door sensors are ideal for wooden, aluminum, or steel doors and windows with hurricane proof glass, or glass too small for breaking and entering.
Glass doors and windows with large glass panes are better protected by Shock Sensors, below.

If you have rolling shutters or garage doors which are closed at night and/ or when not at home, ADT can install sensors on these. The earlier a perpetrator can be detected, the better.

Glass Break Detectors

Glass Break Detectors trigger the alarm when glass breaks. The alarm sounds immediately when the glass is broken, and while the intruder is still outside of your home.

Glass Break Detectors are used close to bay windows for example and are practical when pets larger than 80lbs are roaming your home and thus Motion sensors can’t be used.

Motion Detectors

Motion sensors create an interior trap zone for backup protection of the door and window sensors.
Typically motion sensors are installed in the hallway or stairway, the master bedroom, and in living areas with a lot of windows.

Shock Sensors

Shock sensors are usually installed on glass doors and windows: once a perpetrator tries to break the glass, the shock sensor will activate the alarm while the intruder is still outside of your home.

Wireless Remote Key

The wireless 4 button key fob remote control makes arming your alarm system very convenient. Just with the press of a button you can arm or disarm the burglar alarm, instead of entering the code on the keypad.

The key fob includes a panic button, ADT will dispatch the police immediately when that button is pressed.

Outdoor Sensors
